Training for THE AUDITION with mVm

ON-GOING class

JUNE 2026

AUDITIONS: ON-GOING — 4-week (16 hours) MONTHLY TRAINING GYM

Foundations:

The first part of each weekly class will be reserved for ‘working out’ mVm style so actors can actually train presence. Then with a free breath, sound, and body we can explore the audition!

THE AUDITION:

In this on-going mVm class we’ll be deepening audition work with the core pillars of the audition: (1) Active Breath, (2) Framing / Choreography, (3) Decisions / Turns, (4) Environment / Relationship.

STUDENT-LED

Integration

The second half of every ongoing class will be focused on monologue work, and auditions! Each student will bring in what they would like to work on whether it’s a current audition, or some text work they’re looking to deepen. Depending on class size, everyone works at least 2x a month!

What students are saying:

“I took two other scene study classes with "master teachers" sandwiching this class, and I very honestly felt the whole time "thank goodness I have Katie's class to give me practical, actionable solutions to improving" vs just - go deeper, do the work, etc.”

- Jahnavi A.

“This training is exploratory vs. prescriptive”

“The most valuable part of the class was witnessing myself and others embrace our instruments. To let go of fear, control, and performance and to embrace experimentation and presence. We are all so stuck in our ways and we can get unstuck.”

-Nate K

“This class will remind you of the gift of being in your body, how conscious you can be of it and how it shapes your presence in the world. It’ll put you in touch with your instincts and show you how your breathing affects all aspects of your life. This is not only for actors, I believe. If you’re into becoming more of yourself, you’d be silly not to take it.”

-Liz B

“A teacher who is themselves and alive will give you the space to be yourself and alive.”

-Kostas C
